Job summary

Sisters of Mercy of the Americas in Omaha, NE seek compassionate LPNs for per-diem coverage at Mercy Convent. You will provide direct nursing care per care plan, supervise caregivers, and manage assessments and medication administration.

This role offers flexible days/evenings/nights, opportunities to work independently and as part of a mission-centered team, with a focus on elder care and safety.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 75 lbs and meet physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per care plan and physician orders.
• Supervise and support caregivers during assigned shifts.
• Complete assessments, vitals, documentation, and medication administration.
• Respond promptly to Sisters’ needs and changes in condition.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment; follow safety and infection-control protocols.
• Communicate clearly with DON/RCA, team, and Sisters.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, incident reporting, and chart updates.
