Job summary

Granite Recovery Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to care for our patients in a residential facility. You will handle admissions, med administration, withdrawal management and direct patient care in the Detox unit under Nurse leadership.

Must hold an unrestricted NH RN license and possess CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications. Ability to work evenings and weekends is required; prior detox/med-surg experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold an unrestricted NH RN license.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications are required.
• Must pass NH criminal background and driving record checks.
• Prefer 1 year detox, emergency, or med-surge nursing experience.
• Knowledge of medical detoxification for substance abuse preferred.
• Knowledge of ASAM criteria and DSM related to substance disorders.
• Know HIPAA and confidentiality laws.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients.

Responsibilities

• Complete admission procedures and patient orientation.
• Administer and read TB tests.
• Document nursing assessments, treatment plans, orders, progress notes.
• Provide direct patient care and monitor withdrawal symptoms.
• Maintain medication administration records and meds as ordered.
• Supervise technicians on assigned shift.
• Develop treatment plans with patients.
• Offer emotional support and counseling.
• Consult with in-house and external professionals for comprehensive care.
• Provide referrals for identified patient needs.
• Maintain a safe, hygienic work environment and professional boundaries.
