Job summary

Granite Recovery Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to care for patients in a residential detox facility. You will complete admissions, administer medications, monitor withdrawal, and document nursing assessments and care plans.

The role requires NH RN license, CPR/First Aid/Bloodborne Pathogens, and ability to work evenings/weekends. Prior detox/med-surge experience is preferred; strong communication and patient-care skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold an unrestricted RN license in New Hampshire.
• CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications required.
• Pass State NH criminal background and driving record checks.
• Detox, emergency, or med-surge nursing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical detoxification for substance abuse preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse population and maintain professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Complete admission procedures and initial assessments, including paperwork.
• Administer and monitor tuberculosis skin tests and medications.
• Document nursing assessments, treatment plans, orders, and progress notes.
• Provide direct care and supervise technicians on assigned shift.
• Monitor for intoxication/withdrawal symptoms and perform evaluations.
• Maintain hygienic, safe environment and accurate Medication Administration Records.
• Develop treatment plans with individuals and coordinate referrals.
• Communicate with in-house staff and outside professionals to ensure quality care.
• Maintain compliance with ethics, confidentiality laws, and agency policies.
