NewYork-Presbyterian Queens is seeking a Laboratory Technologist in Hematology on a Per Diem basis. You will perform patient tests, read hematology slides, and carry out quality control procedures in a state-of-the-art, 24‑hour facility.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related science and NY licensure, with preference for ASCP and supervisory experience. On-site work with comprehensive benefits and a supportive team culture.

Laboratory Technologist - Hematology | Per Diem

Join a highly skilled technical team of Laboratory Technologists in the Hematology department at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens. In this important role, you will be responsible for performing patient tests, reading hematology slides, conducting quality control procedures, and performing standard preventative maintenance. This position offers you the opportunity to work alongside nationally accredited colleagues and contribute to lifesaving results.

Required Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related science
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education department
• Meets all requirements of the New York State Department of Health for a Laboratory Supervisor
• Knowledge of laboratory policies and procedures
• Strong communication skills

Preferred Criteria

• ASCP certification
• Master's degree in Medical Technology or related science
• Laboratory supervisory experience
• Experience with laboratory regulations and/or CAP inspection
