BILH is hiring a Laboratory Assistant in Burlington, MA. The role centers on applying protocol to accept, identify, and label specimens, while ensuring specimen integrity and proper transport. You will operate automated instrumentation and assist with routine maintenance and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include tracking supplies, assisting with specimen receipt and triage, preparing workspaces, and documenting discrepancies for quality monitoring. Weekend/holiday rotation may be required.

Formación

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1-year related laboratory experience preferred, but not required.
• Interpersonal verbal and written English language skills sufficient to exchange information with physicians and other colleagues.
• Work requires the ability to perform venipuncture techniques.
• Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.

Responsabilidades

• Label and identify specimens and requisitions; report discrepancies.
• Inventory and restock supplies for laboratories.
• Monitor reagents and supplies and communicate needs for stock.
• Receive, archive, and discard specimens per procedures.
• Prepare benches and reload instruments for daily workload.
• Prepare infectious biohazardous waste for transport per policy.
• Monitor equipment temperatures and maintain charts.
• Assist with specimen receipt, triage, and documentation in QA.
