Job description

Mixlab, the fast-growing veterinary compounding pharmacy, is hiring a Lab Assistant in our Los Angeles pharmacy. We are looking for a team player who is obsessed with details and is driven by an ability to #makeithappen for our customers and their furry (and scaly!) friends no matter what. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to work with a growing team and can support continued growth in our operations. You will be an integral part in helping us to ensure our Pharmacy operations run smoothly, and to make Mixlab a 100% dependable resource for our customers and veterinarians alike.

This is a Part-time, hourly role. Must be available to work one day (8 hours) per week at minimum. Compensation is $21-23 per hour depending on individual qualifications, license, experience, and skillset.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing chew treats, otics and transdermal formulations into their final dosage form
  • Set up and restock lab your station with all necessary ingredients and equipment
  • Remove and wash used equipment
  • Help maintain and move lab equipment as needed
  • Comply with Pharmacy procedures, policies, and health and safety regulations

  • You have a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • You are scrappy and resourceful
  • You have flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • MUST LOVE PETS and their people!




Physical requirements:

  • Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds
  • Moving, lifting or carrying boxes
  • Ability to stand for extended periods

In addition to base pay, our total compensation package for full-time employees includes benefits and equity.
