Job summary

Howard University Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse (RN) – Per Diem Level II for the Labor & Delivery unit. This role involves providing safe, patient-centered care and support during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of experience in Labor & Delivery and hold current BLS and ACLS certifications.

The position offers a competitive per diem compensation and requires a commitment to two 12-hour shifts per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of bedside RN experience in a Labor & Delivery setting.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification through the AHA required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid assessments and develop care plans for patients.
• Monitor and interpret electronic fetal monitoring strips.
• Provide skilled intrapartum support through all stages of labor.
