Job summary

AccessHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in ICU or Telemetry for per diem staffing in a hospital setting. You will assess, monitor, document patient conditions, administer medications and IV therapies, and collaborate with care teams.

The role requires an active Virginia RN license, BLS and ACLS, with ICU or Telemetry experience within the past two years. Flexible scheduling includes day or night shifts and opportunities for varied shift lengths.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license and valid BLS/ACLS certifications.
• Minimum one year ICU or Telemetry experience within the last two years.
• Recent safety and infection control training as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality acute care and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with medical teams and document care in EMR.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
• Ensure safety and infection control protocols are followed.
• Flexibly cover day or night shifts with variable hours.

Job description

Role: Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in ICU or Telemetry, providing per diem staffing in a hospital setting.

Deliver safe, high-quality care; assess, monitor, and document patient conditions; administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments; monitor cardiac rhythms and use specialized equipment; collaborate with healthcare teams; maintain accurate electronic records; follow policies, infection control, and patient safety standards; educate patients and families; demonstrate professionalism and adaptability.

Qualifications:

Active Virginia RN license; at least one year of recent ICU or Telemetry experience within the past two years; current BLS and ACLS certifications; recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test; COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption. Additional credentials may be required based on the assignment.
