Atlantic Health is seeking a Lactation Consultant to coordinate breastfeeding assessments and education across the hospital and via telephone. You will provide evidence-based lactation support, document patient progress, and educate staff to improve outcomes.

The role requires nursing education and IBCLC certification, or active pursuit, with bedside and teaching responsibilities in multiple units. You will collaborate with the Maternity Center, NICU, and other hospital units to ensure

Qualificações

• RN or nursing degree from an accredited program.
• IBCLC certification or current lactation consultant certification in progress.
• Ability to document in patient charts and follow hospital documentation standards.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and complete breastfeeding assessments in hospital and by phone.
• Provide breastfeeding education using adult learning principles and verify understanding.
• Offer breastfeeding management support in hospital units and via telephone.
• Educate and support hospital staff and physicians; mentor lactation staff and students.
• Document lactation support and patient progress clearly in charts; update documentation tools.
• Coordinate breast pump rental and educate about equipment such as breast shells, nipple shields, and hydrogel pads.
