Job summary

Tufts Medicine is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II, Per Diem, in our Specialty Pharmacy Services to support pharmacists in providing patient care. Under supervision, you will assist with preparing and distributing medications, inventory control, and processing financial transactions.

The role requires a High School diploma, CPhT, MA registration, and at least one year of experience. Preferred candidates may have an Associate's degree and hospital pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include high school diploma, CPhT, and MA registration.
• At least one year of pharmacy-related experience is required.
• Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician Registration must be active.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle medications safely.

Responsibilities

• Performs sterile and non-sterile preparation with master formulary guidance.
• Operates automated technology for sterile product prep and documentation.
• Stocks medications and manages inventory with accurate records.
• Handles floor stock and replenishment for OR/ER as directed.
• Maintains medication rooms and ensures expired meds are removed.
• Supports billing, insurance troubleshooting, and patient transactions as needed.
