Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center is seeking an Environmental Services Worker/Housekeeper - Per Diem to maintain clean patient rooms, offices and public areas, ensuring a safe, risk‑preventive environment within OSHA regulations. This role supports the hospital’s mission of high-quality behavioral health care.

The position requires a minimum of 1 year handling housekeeping duties, preferably in a health care facility, with the ability to work with minimal supervision and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience, preferably in a health care facility.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and be flexible for overtime.
• Knowledge of basic housekeeping duties, code procedures, and safety practices.

Environmental Services Worker/Housekeeper - Per Diem

This individual is responsible for daily housekeeping routines such as cleaning patient rooms, offices, and public areas, while ensuring a safe and risk preventive environment within OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

Experience:

A minimum of one (1) year experience in housekeeping duties, preferably in a health care facility.

Additional Requirements: Must be able to work with minimal supervision. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.

Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of basic housekeeping duties

Knowledge of all code procedures

Knowledge of risk and safety precautions

Skill in organizing and prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines

Skill in telephone etiquette and paging procedures

Effective oral and written communication skills

Sensitive and aware of diverse cultures and their practices
