Job summary

Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a dedicated Environmental Services Worker/Housekeeper on a per diem basis to maintain clean, safe patient areas in a licensed behavioral health hospital.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, offices and public areas while complying with OSHA regulations, codes, and safety practices; excellent teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year housekeeping experience, preferably in a health care facility.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision; overtime and flexible hours may be required.
• Knowledge of basic housekeeping duties, code procedures, and safety precautions.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines; good communication skills.

Environmental Services Worker/Housekeeper - Per Diem

This individual is responsible for daily housekeeping routines such as cleaning patient rooms, offices, and public areas, while ensuring a safe and risk preventive environment within OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

Experience:

A minimum of one (1) year experience in housekeeping duties, preferably in a health care facility.

Additional Requirements: Must be able to work with minimal supervision. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.

Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of basic housekeeping duties

Knowledge of all code procedures

Knowledge of risk and safety precautions

Skill in organizing and prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines

Skill in telephone etiquette and paging procedures
