Monterey Park Hospital in Los Angeles County seeks a Food Service Worker for its Dietetics Department. This is a per diem, 8-hour variable shift position reporting to the Director of Dietary.

The Food Service Worker will handle kitchen equipment, sanitation, and meal preparation for patients, and may assist in other dietary tasks as needed.

Qualifications include a grade school education, ability to use decimals and a cash register, and a current ServSafe Food Handler Certification.

Formación

• Minimum Education Grade school education preferred.
• Minimum Experience Ability to use decimals and fractions, operate a cash register, make change, and interpret a price list.
• Required Certification/Registration Current ServSafe Food Handler Certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain high sanitation levels, label, cover and date all food.
• Prepare patient meals following established procedures.
• Observe FIFO and ensure food is labeled and dated.
• Assist in other dietary tasks as needed (office, prep, events).
