Job summary

The CPS division of Optum in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a Per Diem Clinical Pharmacist to provide essential medication management and clinical pharmacy services in collaboration with the care team. This role focuses on reviewing orders, optimizing therapy, monitoring outcomes, and supporting pharmacy operations.

Shifts include regular onsite hours 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, with weekday evening and weekend on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• PharmD or equivalent pharmacy degree.
• Active Indiana pharmacist license in good standing.
• 3+ months hospital pharmacy experience; behavioral health exposure; familiarity with automated dispensing cabinets.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and dispense medication orders to ensure safety and accuracy.
• Provide clinical pharmacy services including medication therapy management.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and care teams to optimize regimens.
• Monitor patient outcomes and medication safety to prevent adverse events.
• Supervise and support technicians and interns while ensuring compliant workflow.
• Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance (Joint Commission, state, federal).
