Job summary

Treasure Coast Hospice is seeking a Registered Nurse for per diem night on-call/triage coverage in Fort Pierce, FL. The role involves delivering skilled nursing, palliative care, and crisis response across multiple counties, with 8pm–8am shifts.

Requires Florida RN license, CHPN within 12 months, active driver's license, and EMR experience. Strong communication and independent work skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Current and active Florida RN license.
• Must be CHPN certified within 12 months.
• Current and valid Florida driver's license and automobile insurance.
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience with acute care, preferably ER or as a Charge Nurse.
• Prior oncology, home health, hospice or palliative care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care and oversight per Treasure Coast Hospice policies and Florida Nurse Practice Act.
• Deliver palliative and supportive care to patient and family units.
• Support call center triage and in-person visits, crisis care, and IPU/CNA coverage as needed.
• Manage patient care plans, assessments, and documentation in EMR.
• Coordinate with physicians and IDT for optimal patient care and resource use.
• Educate patients and families on interventions, medications, and side effects.
