Job summary
Amedisys Beacon Hospice in Maine is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for per diem PRN. Competitive pay $55-$65 hourly with flexible scheduling to support home-based hospice care across Dover-Foxcroft and Millinocket areas.
Responsibilities include conducting face-to-face assessments, coordinating with physicians, ordering labs and imaging, and referring to other disciplines. Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team is essential to deliver quality end-of-life care.
Qualifications
- Active NP license in the assigned state.
- Medicare billing privileges as a nurse practitioner.
- Ability to prescribe as NP in the state of services.
- CPR certification current.
- Meet physician–NP collaborative requirements in the state.
Responsibilities
- Communicate significant findings to the clinical team.
- Complete face-to-face encounters and assess disease progression and symptoms.
- Order and review labs, imaging, and EKGs for palliation and treatment.
- Make referrals to other disciplines as needed.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences.
