Job summary

Journey Hospice is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner to assist in providing care to hospice patients in Essex County, New Jersey. This position is per diem, offering flexible hours with a remuneration of $125 per client visit.

The ideal candidate must have a master’s degree in nursing, national certification, and at least two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner. Responsibilities include conducting medical examinations and documentation for hospice care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a master’s-level program designed for nurse practitioners.
• Completion of a pharmacology course from an accredited school.
• Currently licensed and nationally certified in New Jersey.
• Minimum of two years’ experience as a Nurse Practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient medical examinations and palliative care visits.
• Document visits in clinical records and required forms.
• Communicate effectively with the Medical Director and interdisciplinary team.
