Job summary

Altus Hospice is seeking a Per Diem Chaplain to provide spiritual and emotional support to patients and families as they navigate end-of-life moments.

You will be part of our Interdisciplinary Team, offering care that honors all faiths and beliefs while promoting comfort, dignity, and meaningful connection.

We offer a hands-on onboarding program, tuition assistance, and opportunities for internal growth, with per diem coverage in the Kingwood area.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited seminary or similar theological program.
• CPE experience preferred.
• Comfortable serving diverse faiths and beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Assess spiritual and emotional needs as part of the IDT care plan.
• Provide spiritual counseling for patients and families of all faiths.
• Offer grief and bereavement support throughout care and after loss.
• Coordinate spiritual care with the Program Director and care team.
• Communicate effectively with staff and community partners to ensure continuity of care.
• Document accurately in accordance with regulations and agency policies.
