Job summary

Altus Hospice Care inviting a compassionate Chaplain to join as Per Diem Spiritual Caregiver in Victoria, TX. You will provide spiritual and emotional support to patients and families as they navigate end-of-life moments, honoring all faiths and beliefs.

You’ll work with our Interdisciplinary Team to integrate spiritual care into the care plan, offer grief support, and help families find peace and meaning. Must have seminary degree and CPE preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate seminary or theology degree, or equivalent pastoral certification.
• One unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) preferred.
• Experience in hospice, hospital, or community health settings preferred.
• Ability to handle stress while supporting patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Assess spiritual and emotional needs as part of the interdisciplinary care plan.
• Provide spiritual counseling to patients and families of all faiths.
• Offer grief and bereavement support throughout the hospice journey.
• Coordinate with the Program Director and care team to ensure holistic care.
• Communicate with hospice staff and community partners for continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation per regulatory standards.
