Job summary

BrightStar Care is seeking flexible Per Diem/On-Call Caregivers to provide one-on-one in-home care, supporting clients in the comfort of their own homes. The role emphasizes dignity, reliability, and a compassionate approach to daily living activities.

Caregivers will work with a care team to ensure consistent, quality care, with opportunities for additional hours as client needs grow. Strong interpersonal skills and a patient, caring nature are essential.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient and caring nature.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience providing care to clients in-home or in similar settings (Home Health, Assisted Living, Group Home, Hospital).
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license with auto insurance.
• Negative TB test or cleared chest X-ray.
• Weekend availability (2 days per month).

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation to enhance clients’ lives.
• Assist with daily activities such as meals, light housekeeping, and errands.
• Provide physical assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring and ambulation.
• Accompany clients to appointments or social outings and provide transportation as needed.
• Monitor and report changes in health, behavior, and needs to RN Case Manager.

• Premium Short Shift Pay: We offer a variety of shift Lengths ranging from 1 hour to 12 hours. Our 1-hour shifts get paid at $30 per hour and hour 2-hour shifts get paid at $22.50 an hour. Any shift 3 hours or longer is paid at a base rate between $19-$22 based on experience.

Role Responsibilities:

• Act as a member of the Care coordination team to communication with the RN Case Manager to update the plan of care.

Requirements:

• A compassionate, patient, and caring nature.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.


• Experience providing care to clients in a hands-on environment (Home Health, Assisted Living, Group Home, Hospital Setting)


• Reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license with Auto Insurance.


• Negative TB test or Cleared Chest-Xray.


• Availability to work 2 weekend days per month.
