Job summary

BrightStar Care of St Paul, South Metro Minneapolis, Golden Valley and Burnsville is seeking reliable Home Health Aides for an on-call role in the Rochester area. This position offers approximately 10 hours per week with potential for more hours as we grow our client base.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily routines, light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and providing companionship. If you're dependable and caring, we'd love to connect with you.

Qualifications

• Experience providing care in home health or similar settings.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Willing to work 2 weekend days per month.
• Negative TB test or cleared chest X-ray.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation to enhance the lives of our clients.
• Assist with daily activities: meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
• Provide physical assistance such as bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
• Accompany clients to appointments or social outings, providing transportation as needed.
• Monitor and report changes in the client’s health, behavior, and needs.
• Act as a member of the Care coordination team to communication with the RN Case Manager to update the plan of care.

• Premium Short Shift Pay: We offer a variety of shift Lengths ranging from 1 hour to 12 hours. Our 1-hour shifts get paid at $30 per hour and hour 2-hour shifts get paid at $22.50 an hour. Any shift 3 hours or longer is paid at a base rate between $19-$22 based on experience.

Requirements:

• A compassionate, patient, and caring nature.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience providing care to clients in a hands-on environment (Home Health, Assisted Living, Group Home, Hospital Setting)
• Reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license with Auto Insurance.
• Negative TB test or Cleared Chest-Xray.
• Availability to work 2 weekend days per month.
