Qualifications

• Ability to read and write, follow oral and written instructions in English language.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.
• Able to lift 40 lbs and push/pull 350 lbs.
• Knowledge in the use, disposal, and labeling of chemicals used in a food service setting.
• Able to work in hot, cold and/or wet areas and adhere to safety practices.
• Ability to adjust to fluctuating workload and schedule.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with team and managers.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, strip and wax floors in the Nutrition department.
• Wash walls, doors, windows, light fixtures and dispose of trash.
• Sanitize and reline trash containers and linen hampers.
• Wash and steam rubber floor mats.
• Clean and store housekeeping equipment; report malfunctions.
• Wash dishes, pans, utensils and small equipment per procedures.
• Follow safety and sanitation practices; assist with other tasks as needed.
