Concord Hospital in New Hampshire is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to support the patient care team by handling clerical, patient service and information flow at the desk.

The HUC coordinates communications, completes order entry processes, maintains supplies and assists with chart preparation according to department standards.

This role emphasizes teamwork, time management, and a professional demeanor to ensure smooth hospital operations and excellent patient experience.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to multitask and communicate with clinical staff across departments.
• Comfort with using computers and basic office equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinates patient and information flow at the desk area to clinical staff, patients/families and other departments.
• Completes order entry process, coordinates computer downtime, and coordinates patient information changes in the computer.
• Handles incoming and outgoing communication for the department.
• Prepares and dispositions charts according to HIMS specifications.
• Maintains departmental supplies and ensures functioning equipment are available for use in the department.
• Demonstrates effective time management skills.
• Serves as a preceptor for new employees.
• Performs job specific requirements and other duties as assigned.
