Rutgers University Correctional Health Care is seeking a per diem Technician I for Southwoods State Prison, Bridgeton, NJ, to join the clinical and administrative medical team. The role supports vital signs, specimen handling, and medication workflows on site.

The ideal candidate holds CMA/EMT/CNA certifications, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license, with at least two years of healthcare experience in diverse settings.

Qualifications

• Two years of healthcare experience with multiple areas of knowledge and duties.
• CMA/EMT/CNA certifications are required.
• CPR certification is required and a valid driver's license is required.

Responsabilités

• Take vital signs, height and weight and document in EMR.
• Assist physician/advanced practitioner with procedures and patient preparation.
• Obtain specimen collection and handling, including blood draws.
• Assist with cleaning, sterilization and securing equipment in the Health Service Unit.
• Maintain supply stock and order as needed; forward medication orders to pharmacy.
• Support daily clinical and administrative activities within the unit.
