Job summary

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center is looking for a part-time Food Service Worker to join our Food & Nutrition team in Paramus, NJ. The role involves assembling trays, delivering meals to patient floors, and maintaining clean kitchen and dish areas with a focus on safety and patient care.

Ideal applicants have at least 6 months of food service experience, English proficiency, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• 6 months prior food service experience preferred.
• Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position.

Responsibilities

• Assembles prepared food on trays for general and therapeutic diets; prepares special therapeutic nourishments and snacks.
• Maintains tray line in a clean, neat and orderly manner.
• Delivers food trucks to patient floors as specified; returns trucks to dish room at designated times.
• Transports food and supplies in bulk from location to location.
• Collects, processes, and disposes of trash and garbage as needed and directed.
