Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum, seeks a Per Diem Float Pharmacist to support onsite pharmacies across Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island. This temporary, intermittent role requires NY pharmacist licensure and immunizer certification. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM, with no nights or weekends.

You will counsel patients, dispense medications, and ensure compliance with state laws while collaborating with the care team. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Current pharmacist license in the state of New York.
• Certified immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within three months of hire.
• Access to reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use.
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy.
• Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties.
