Job summary

Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, TX is seeking an Environmental Services Technician (EVS Tech) to clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent infections.

This per diem role offers evening shifts (3:00pm–11:30pm) and may require traveling between facilities to maintain a safe, hygienic environment. A high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to read, understand, and communicate effectively are preferred requirements.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices and procedures preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read, understand and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent the spread of infections.
• Properly disposing of medical and hazardous waste according to hospital protocols.
• Restock supplies like gloves, masks, and cleaning materials in various hospital areas.
• Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, and other surfaces using specialized equipment and chemicals.
• Respond to urgent cleaning needs such as spills or contamination incidents and communicate promptly using phone, handheld radios, pagers, and other devices.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling between facilities independently.
