Job summary

AtlantiCare seeks an Emergency Room Technician for City Campus on per diem shifts varied. The role supports the patient care team by performing phlebotomy, EKGs, and other duties in the ER under licensed supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS within 30 days, CPI training within 1 year, and at least 1 year of direct patient care experience. Training on Clinical Applications may be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; ability to read, speak, and write English.
• EMT or Certified Nurse Assistant program also preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS required within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training required within 1 year of hire or transfer into the role.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct and indirect patient care under supervision of licensed personnel.
• Collects test specimens and documents patient care activities according to procedures.
• Performs phlebotomy, EKGs, splinting and other duties in the Emergency Room.
• Assists customers in a friendly, prompt, caring manner while maintaining confidentiality.
