Job summary

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Endoscopy Technician for per-diem/PRN coverage. You will prepare rooms, gather endoscopy gear, assist during procedures, and ensure equipment is sterile and ready for use.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA/MA course completion or two years nursing school preferred.
• At least one year experience as Endoscopy tech/assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Periodically check patients, take vital signs, monitor pulse oximetry, observe condition of the patient and patient care equipment or devices, and report changes from baseline to appropriate patient care team member.
• Deliver care to the patient in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner.
• Assess, observe, report, and record signs and symptoms indicative of changes in general condition and monitor vital signs during procedures and in the recovery area.
• Assess, observe, and report pertinent and significant patient responses to treatments and/or procedures; perform routine analysis and studies as requested.
• Demonstrate ability to prioritize and adjust plan of care or adapt to changing priorities and plan of care as delegated.
• Apply knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan.
