Job summary

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, part of Universal Health Services, Inc., seeks an Endoscopy Technician to support endoscopy services and patient care. You will prepare rooms, assist during procedures, monitor patients, and ensure equipment is sterile and functioning properly.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency.
• Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant course.
• Two years of nursing school or other recent comparable education.
• At least one year of Endoscopy tech/assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Readies rooms and gear for endoscopy procedures.
• Gathers tools like endoscopes, light sources and video monitors.
• Checks equipment functionality before use.
• Assists doctors and nurses during procedures.
• Monitors patients and reports changes in status.
• Cleans and sterilizes gear after procedures.
• Follows infection control and safety protocols.
• Maintains accurate documentation of care and procedures.
• Participates in patient/family teaching as designated.
