Job summary

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Endoscopy Registered Nurse to join our day-shift team. You will provide comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing GI and pulmonary endoscopic procedures, including pre-procedure assessment, procedural support, sedation monitoring, and post-procedure recovery.

The successful candidate will hold a DC RN license, current BLS and ACLS certifications, and prefer at least one year of acute care or endoscopy

Qualifications

DC RN license is required.
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
ACLS preferred or required.
Minimum 1 year endoscopy or acute care experience preferred.
Experience with moderate sedation is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for endoscopic patients.
Perform pre-procedure assessments including history reconciliation.
Administer and monitor moderate sedation per hospital policy.
Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures (colonoscopy, EGD, bronchoscopy, ERCP).
Monitor vitals and recovery and provide discharge instructions.
Maintain EMR documentation and equipment handling.
Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary teams; participate in QA initiatives.
