Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Milton is seeking an Endoscopy Technician (Per Diem) to support the GI Endoscopy Unit. The role focuses on endoscope care, reprocessing, infection control, and assisting nursing and physician staff during procedures.

Responsibilities include high-level disinfection, equipment maintenance, and intra-procedure support. Requires a High School Diploma; after-hours on-call availability; 1 year hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Ability to take after hours on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis.
• Hospital/Medical experience within a patient care role preferred (minimum 1 year).
• Endoscopy technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-level disinfection and reprocessing of GI endoscopes.
• Care and maintenance of endoscopes and GI equipment.
• Operate Automated Endoscope Reprocessors and test disinfectants.
• Assist with case setup/breakdown in GI procedure rooms and provide intra-procedure support.
• Transport patients to pre/post areas and assist with room stocking and inventory.
• Enter procedure charges in Meditech and support unit-based quality initiatives.
