Brown University Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support patients through the full endoscopy care continuum, including pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure recovery. This per diem role is 2-3 days per week, with day shifts at The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI.

Under supervision, the RN advocates for patients using the nursing process, maintains current knowledge of practice, and collaborates with the health team to ensure safe, high-quality care across the life

Qualifications

• Current licensure to practice as an RN in Rhode Island or another Nurse Licensure Compact state.
• BLS certification; ACLS certification required.
• Two years medical-surgical nursing experience with telemetry experience.
• Endoscopy experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Recognizes and reports deviations from patient or established norms.
• Documents nursing interventions and patient responses to treatments.
• Provides basic comfort and supports patient and family participation in daily activities.
• Sets priorities, seeks guidance when needed, and identifies emergency situations.
• Implements nursing interventions and evaluates patient outcomes based on plan of care.
• Maintains nursing records and adheres to policy guidelines.
