Job summary

Ambulatory Endoscopy Center of Maryland is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse for pre-procedure and recovery care in Laurel, MD. Responsibilities include preparing patients for endoscopy, verifying consent, administering pre-medication, and monitoring vitals through recovery.

Ideal candidate will have RN licensure in MD, BLS/ACLS, good IV skills, and EMR experience. Per diem positions require at least three shifts per month, with Monday and Friday availability.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• MD State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
• Good IV skills.
• Ambulatory surgery center experience 1 year preferred.
• Demonstrates basic computer skills (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Pre- and post-procedure nursing care for endoscopy patients.
• Verify consent, administer pre-medication and monitor vital signs.
• Assist in anesthesia recovery and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Maintain order and cleanliness of PreOp/Admitting areas and assist with equipment inventory.
