Job summary

PPE is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for per diem coverage at New Bridge Medical Center. The role involves rapid assessment and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries, with responsibilities spanning order sets, imaging interpretation, and emergency procedures.

The clinician will work within a collaborative team, provide patient-centered care, and maintain documentation in the electronic medical record, with shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Active and unrestricted New Jersey medical license
• Current DEA registration.
• Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries.
• Perform comprehensive medical assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Order, interpret, and act upon laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic studies.
• Perform emergency procedures, including airway management, intubation, laceration repair, fracture reduction, central venous access, and resuscitation.
• Stabilize critically ill or injured patients and coordinate specialty consultations and hospital admissions.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, EMS, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient care.
• Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based clinical standards.
• Provide flexible coverage for scheduled shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
