Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn seeks an Electroneurodiagnostic Technician I to join our team on a per diem basis. The role involves performing Video-EEG procedures, monitoring brain activity, preparing study files, and documenting patient data under physician supervision.

Responsibilities include ensuring equipment functionality, coordinating with Cardiologist/ supervisor, and assisting with department upkeep and data collection for billing. Per diem schedule may vary by department needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, staff and patients.
• Capable of handling EEG equipment and basic troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform Video-EEG procedures as ordered (in department, patient room, ICU, pediatrics, ER).
• Maintain supply inventory and assist with patient demographics for billing.
• Prepare study files and document patient activity during exams.
• Calibrate and adjust EEG apparatus per standard procedures.
• Troubleshoot technical issues with IT and vendors to resolve problems.
• Notify neurologist of scheduled readings and follow up on unread studies.
• Apply electrodes at prescribed positions and ensure proper performance.
• Document progress in patient charts and ensure records are complete.
