Per Diem EEG Technologist

Job Description

This is a nonexempt position responsible for assisting with electroencephalographs (EEG), which measure and record the electric activity of the brain, along with related patient care. Responsibilities include preparing patients, performing procedures, and collecting information for interpretation. Procedures include, but are not limited to, measuring and applying electrodes according to the 10-20 system, utilizing Natus technology, and preparing patients for routine and long-term studies.

Education/Training/Experience:

• High school education required. Post-high school clinical neurophysiology education/training required.
• Completion of an accredited EEG training program is preferred, or relevant EEG training and experience are needed.

Licenses/Certifications:

• ABRET registry eligibility required. R. EEG.T certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
