Job summary

Curriculum Associates is seeking a Per Diem Educational Consultant for NYC to deliver high-quality professional development and on-site training for teachers and school leaders. This role supports a mission-driven approach to equity in education and involves collaborating with managers, sales, and other professionals.

The position is based in NYC, with heavy travel (up to 80%), and requires a background in teaching and PD delivery. Start date ASAP, per diem hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3+ years of experience in teaching, coaching teachers, and providing professional development.
• Experience teaching at the secondary (6–12) level is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of the Common Core State Standards, Grades K–8 (or comparable state standards).
• Fluency with using digital tools including online assessments and data analysis with teachers and leaders.
• Understanding adult learning principles for effective professional development.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert on the company’s online diagnostic and instruction program and Common Core product, focusing on grades K–8.
• Coordinate on-site product training and professional development courses for teachers and school administrators.
• Deliver professional development to teachers, coaches, and leaders with emphasis on equity in the classroom.
• Meet teachers where they are and provide tailored on-site support including lesson planning and data-informed instruction.
• Engage in internal professional improvement cycles and development.
• Track and submit detailed training notes and complete assignments on time.
• Present a professional image at all times to customers and prospects.
