Qualifications

Position Summary:

Join us as an Echocardiography Peds Technologist - Per Diem at NYU Langone Ambulatory Care Garden City. You will perform all types of echocardiography testing, assist physicians, and collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care and participate in performance improvement activities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echos (exercise and pharmacological), and other related duties.
• Capture digital cardiac images, perform measurements, and recognize pathology.
• Respond to emergency calls and report critical findings.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Assist in orientation of new staff and maintain daily equipment quality control.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Technical Diploma and graduation from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program.
• Credential in echocardiography (ARDMS, CCI, RDCS, RCS, RCCS).
• Current BLS certification.
• 1-2 years of echocardiography experience preferred.
• Strong communication, detail orientation, customer service, and computer skills.

Required Licenses:

Reg Cardiac Congenital Sonographer, Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer-Ct, Reg Cardiac Sonographer - Cert, Diag Med Sonographer-Fetal Echo, Reg Vascular Technologist-Cert.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current BLS certification for outpatient settings.

Qualified candidates must communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
