Job summary

Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens, TN is seeking an Echocardiology Technician for a per diem/PRN role. The technician will perform ultrasound-based cardiac imaging, explain procedures to patients, and support scheduling and record-keeping to ensure smooth patient flow.

Candidates should be registered or registry-eligible in Echo, hold a current Echo Registry, and possess BLS certification. This position emphasizes compassionate care and precise imaging across all ages in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Echo certification registered or registry eligible within one year of employment or transfer into position.
• Current Echo Registry license or registry eligibility.
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Receives patients, explains method of procedure and ensures patient comfort.
• Provides patient services to all ages using imaging modalities.
• Operates ultrasound/electrophysiology/cardiac stress test equipment to perform diagnostic exams and routine invasive procedures per standards.
• Maintains equipment and supplies and keeps work area organized.
• Keeps accurate records and helps with scheduling of ultrasound to keep patient flow smooth.
