Job summary

Overlake Medical Center in Bellevue, WA is seeking a per diem EKG Technician to deliver centralized electrocardiography services for inpatient and outpatient care. The role supports emergent ECGs, maintains the Philips iECG system, and backs Code Blue/Code Trauma responses.

Hours are part-time with weekend coverage; strong CPR and 12-lead ECG experience are required, along with state HIV/AIDS training and CCT/CRAT certification by the 150th day.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of vocational ECG program preferred.
• Healthcare Provider CPR Certification required upon hire.
• Evidence of completion of a Washington State DOH approved 7-hour HIV/Aids Training course required prior to first patient contact.
• Certified as a CCT or CRAT by Cardiovascular Credentialing International required on or before day 150 of employment.
• Must apply to take the exam on or before 30 days of employment; CPR certification required upon hire.
• Six months’ ECG 12-lead experience in hospital or clinic setting or paramedic experience preferred.
• Basic competency in cardiac rhythm recognition and 12-lead ECG.

Responsibilities

• Provide centralized ECG service for inpatient departments and primary support for outpatient pre-op ECGs.
• Perform emergent ECGs per policies and procedures.
• Maintain Philips iECG Paperless ECG system.
• Respond as support staff to Code Blue and Code Trauma.
