Job summary

Northeast Arc in Danvers, MA is seeking compassionate direct support professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential and community settings.

Open shifts are available seven days a week with first, second, and overnight options; training and certifications are required. You will help with daily living, transportation, ISP implementation, and documentation while promoting independence and community participation.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• MAP Certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required, or ability to obtain and maintain.
• Valid Massachusetts Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, promoting independence, personal growth, and community involvement.
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including personal care, bathing, grooming, meal preparation, and mobility support as needed.
• Support individuals in achieving their goals by implementing ISPs and encouraging choice, self-advocacy, and skill development.
• Safely transport and accompany individuals to appointments, community activities, employment, and recreational opportunities.
• Complete required documentation, including progress notes, incident reports, and other records per Northeast Arc policies.
• Travel to residential programs around the North Shore and surrounding communities based on staffing needs.
• Use your personal vehicle to transport individuals when required.
