Job summary

Tenet Healthcare in San Ramon, CA is seeking a per diem Diet Aide to provide daily administration of nutritional and therapeutic diet services in the Dietary department. You will modify menu selections under the Dietitian’s guidance to meet physician prescriptions and patient needs.

Responsibilities include documenting diet orders, maintaining accurate records, ensuring infection control, and coordinating with cooks to fulfill special requests while upholding patient dignity and privacy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six (6) months of Hospital or Food Service experience within the past six (6) years, OR a four (4) year degree in Nutrition.
• DTR (Registered Dietetic Tech) preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide daily administration of nutritional and therapeutic diet systems.
• Modify therapeutic menu selections under the Dietitian's guidance.
• Maintain records of diet prescriptions and participate in Quality Control Programs.
• Follow infection control guidelines to ensure safe food service and maintain patient dignity and privacy.
• Coordinate with cooks to fulfill special requests and ensure timely communication.
