Job summary

Concord Hospital Health System is seeking a Per Diem Nutrition Technician to screen inpatients for nutritional risk, provide education and care, and supervise trainees. This role includes evenings, weekends, and night shifts, with responsibilities spanning enteral nutrition supply and collaboration with the Nutrition Services team.

The position requires an Associate degree or higher in Nutrition or a DTR/bachelor's credential, plus hospital nutrition experience; supervision by a Registered

Qualifications

• Two years of formal training beyond high school in nutrition (e.g., Associates Degree) or a 4-year degree in Nutrition.
• Registration required: Diet Technician Registered (DTR) OR 4 year degree in Nutrition.
• 2 years hospital clinical nutrition experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screens all inpatients for nutritional risk according to policy.
• Provides nutrition care and education for various risk levels.
• Prepares and manages requisition, inventory, feeding, and staff training for Milk Depot and Enteral Nutrition.
• Precepts dietetic interns and nutrition students.
• Collaborates with RDs and hospital staff; documents care processes.
• Instructs patients and families in nutritional principles and diet orders.
• Coordinates with Diet Office staff and nutrition call center staff.
• Works under supervision of a Registered Dietitian.
• Handles infant formula, human donor milk, and Enteral Nutrition products.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
