Job summary

Generations Healthcare's Plum Tree Care Center in San Jose is seeking a Dietary Cook for per diem shifts. You will assist in all food functions, prepare meals per planned menus, and ensure dietary requirements are met with quality presentation.

The role requires reading and following recipes, coordinating with the facility's dietitian, and maintaining sanitation and safety in food service. Compensation ranges from $21.12 to $23.43 per hour, with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and directions accurately.
• Ability to work with others and adhere to safety and sanitation policies.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and prepare meals per planned menus.
• Prepare meals in accordance with standardized recipes and dietary orders.
• Coordinate food service with other departments and the facility's dietitian as needed.
• Ensure proper portion control and sanitation in food service areas.
• Maintain appearance and order of work areas and report any issues.
• Follow oral and written instructions and demonstrate leadership when needed.
