Job summary

Paycom is seeking a CT/X-Ray Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team in Florida. You will perform CT and X-ray procedures, apply correct scan protocols, and ensure high-quality images while maintaining safety and patient comfort.

Responsibilities include QA activities, documentation in RIS, and collaboration with clinicians. A Florida license and AART certification are required, along with BLS and prior experience in a busy medical setting.

Job SummaryThe CT/X-Ray Technologist participates in technical duties directly involved with the CT scanner and the Diagnostic Imaging, including developing, initiating, and monitoring procedures for the effective utilization of this unit. The CT/X-Ray Technologist actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all, while implementing the principles of Guidewell Emergency Doctors. All duties are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.Essential Job FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Produces high quality diagnostic images to include a variety of procedures with the knowledge and ability to apply the proper scan protocols needed to visualize the anatomy in question.Participates in QA activities to include maintenance of patient logs and RIS forms.Keep Repeat/Retake percentage less than 7% of all images for each month.Understand the process of computed radiology, image processing, archiving, and sending of images to the PACS stations and perform these tasks accurately and free of error.Ensures Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications to radiation and contrast injections. Also, the use of aseptic injection techniques.IV insertion after successful completion of training and competency.Maintains proactive, effective communication with patient and the provider regarding any findings, patient histories and test results as appropriate.Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep the room stocked with linens and necessary supplies.Know and practice organizational values and adhere to organizational protocols.Follow the information security policies and management system, contributing to their effectiveness, and actively reporting on their performance.Function in a manner that supports the facility in meeting or exceeding goals set forth in the quality metrics (Door to EKG, Troponin TAT, Door to Antibiotic, Etc.)Support the Facility Leader (FL) and Lead Rad Tech by being a positive team player.Completion of daily checklists.Participate in morning huddles when on shift.Accurate completion of clinical inventory as assigned.Participate in facility specific education and training (i.e., OSHA, HIPAA, Joint Commission, ALARA, etc.)Timely completion of tasks as assigned by the Lead Rad Tech or FL.Follow the information security policies and management system, contributing to their effectiveness, and actively reporting on their performance.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position does not currently have supervisory responsibilities.Required EducationAssociate’s degree.Required Experience1 year’s relevant experience.Required Licenses and CertificationsActive State of Florida License.Active AART Certification.Must hold an active BLS certification.Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesMust successfully pass a Level 2 background screen and drug test.Must be successfully credentialed within each facility you will be performing shifts.Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Able to perform the duties expected for an active role in a busy medical environment (standing, walking, teaching, public speaking, pulling, pushing, lifting, etc.)Able to stand and work up to a 12-hour shift in the facility.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage changing priorities.Attention to detail/attentiveness.Demonstrated ability to follow written procedures.Computer skills.Interaction with others with professionalism/tact.Independent decision making.Intermediate math calculations.Problem solving, reading, verbal communication, and writing.Financial ResponsibilitiesThis position does not currently have financial responsibilities.Budget ResponsibilitiesThis position does not currently have budget responsibilities.LanguagesAdvanced English is required.Spanish and Creole are preferred.TravelUp to 30% travel to support clinic operations across the market.
