Guidewell Emergency Doctors is seeking a CT/X-ray Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging with CT and radiography, ensuring high-quality images and strict adherence to safety protocols. This role requires proactive communication with patients and providers, participation in QA activities, and accurate patient documentation within RIS/PACS systems.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's degree, an active Florida license, AART certification, and a willingness to travel between local clinics

Qualifications

• Associates degree required and active Florida license.
• Active AART certification and BLS certification must be current.
• 1 year of experience in CT/X-ray or Radiology environment.
• Pass a Level 2 background screen and drug test; credentialed at each facility.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic CT/X-ray images with proper scan protocols.
• Maintain patient logs, RIS forms, and QA activities; keep repeat/retake <7%.
• Ensure patient safety, pre-screening for contraindications to radiation and contrast.
• Operate equipment, maintain cleanliness, and stock supplies; follow ALARA and HIPAA.

Job SummaryThe CT/X-Ray Technologist participates in technical duties directly involved with the CT scanner and the Diagnostic Imaging, including developing, initiating, and monitoring procedures for the effective utilization of this unit. The CT/X-Ray Technologist actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all, while implementing the principles of Guidewell Emergency Doctors. All duties are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.Essential Job FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Produces high quality diagnostic images to include a variety of procedures with the knowledge and ability to apply the proper scan protocols needed to visualize the anatomy in question.Participates in QA activities to include maintenance of patient logs and RIS forms.Keep Repeat/Retake percentage less than 7% of all images for each month.Understand the process of computed radiology, image processing, archiving, and sending of images to the PACS stations and perform these tasks accurately and free of error.Ensures Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications to radiation and contrast injections.
