Job summary

Guidewell Emergency Doctors is seeking a CT/X-ray Technologist to produce high-quality diagnostic images using established scan protocols and to actively participate in QA and patient safety initiatives. The role requires working within Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging teams to support timely patient care in a busy medical setting.

The ideal candidate holds an active Florida radiologic license, AART certification, and BLS certification, with at least 1 year of experience.

• Willingness to pass background screen and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic CT/X-ray images using proper protocols.

• Ensure patient safety including pre-screening for radiation contraindications and aseptic injections.
• Participate in huddles and daily checklists.

Job SummaryThe CT/X-Ray Technologist participates in technical duties directly involved with the CT scanner and the Diagnostic Imaging, including developing, initiating, and monitoring procedures for the effective utilization of this unit. The CT/X-Ray Technologist actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all, while implementing the principles of Guidewell Emergency Doctors. All duties are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.Essential Job FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Produces high quality diagnostic images to include a variety of procedures with the knowledge and ability to apply the proper scan protocols needed to visualize the anatomy in question.Participates in QA activities to include maintenance of patient logs and RIS forms.Keep Repeat/Retake percentage less than 7% of all images for each month.Understand the process of computed radiology, image processing, archiving, and sending of images to the PACS stations and perform these tasks accurately and free of error.Ensures Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications to radiation and contrast injections.
