UNC Health is seeking a per diem Clinical Support Technician for the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) in Chapel Hill, NC. The role combines Nursing Assistant I and Health Unit Coordinator duties, supporting care delivery and unit operations on a rotating schedule.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Listed as Nurse Aide I Registry with NC DHHS.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Mansioni

• Assists physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures, as well as procurement of equipment and supplies.
• Critically reviews patient care documentation, noting significant changes and reporting to RN or physician.
• Provides a variety of clerical tasks: organize workload, greet visitors, transcribe orders, review orders for clarity, and maintain medical records.
• Provides clinical support: cleaning work area, maintaining equipment, troubleshooting software/hardware, stocking supplies, transporting patients and specimens, orientation of new staff.
• Provides direct personal care per plan of care activities: vitals, measurements, specimen collection as applicable.
• Reinforces patient teaching and distributes education materials.
