Job summary

FellowshipLIFE in Basking Ridge, NJ is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Rehabilitation team on a per diem basis. Under supervision of a licensed OT, you will help residents improve independence and adapt to physical changes, delivering compassionate, resident-centered care in a multidisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and supporting group therapy activities while maintaining safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current New Jersey COTA license required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care to older adults.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic interventions and treatment techniques designed to improve residents' ability to perform activities of daily living.
• Assist residents in developing and maintaining functional skills related to self-care, mobility, and daily living activities.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques, safety practices, and the proper use of assistive equipment.
• Monitor, document, and report resident progress to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings as appropriate.
• Support and assist with group therapy activities as directed.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure resident safety during all therapy interventions.
